Hurray! The 2022 Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship Award in Germany is now available at the University for the 2022/2023 study year. German universities across the country are now receiving application for this scholarship grants.
The Scholarship is a fully funded award to both International and domestic high achieving applicants who wants to commence study at any University in Germany.
The Application is opened to both Master’s and PhD degree applicants.
The Scholarship Department of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung awards financial grants to highly-qualified undergraduate and doctoral students from Germany and abroad who evidence high levels of social and political engagement. In granting scholarships, the Stiftung seeks to counteract the social, political and gender discrimination prevalent in our society, and therefore gives preference to applications from women, students of non-academic and migrant backgrounds, the socially needy, and people with disabilities who demonstrate comparable achievements and commitment. Applications from undergraduate and doctoral students from scientific and technical disciplines are actively encouraged, as well as from graduates of technical colleges.
For international students, the scholarship is as a living allowance for the duration of the typical study program period. International students’ tuition fees are not covered.
The Scholarship Department of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung provides a wide range of support to researchers, including political education events and summer schools, seminars held both domestically and internationally, symposia, and educational tours.
It also offers practical training in areas like rhetoric, conflict resolution, and other key skills, time management and self-management, academic qualification enhancement, text and writing workshops, and method-specific seminars.
Level/Field of Study:
Except for medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine, master’s and doctoral degrees in any discipline are available.
Selection criteria include:
- High scholarly and professional qualifications (proof of above-average academic achievement at school and/or university)
- Political and social engagement in line with the aims of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung
- German language proficiency (B2 level or above)
- Personal/family background
