Hurray! The University of Westminster is proud to partner with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council To offer GREAT scholarship to Applicants from Bangladesh, Egypt and Vietnam.

The study award offers a one-off £10,000 tuition fee award and is open to overseas fee-paying students from Bangladesh, Egypt and Vietnam with a minimum 2:1 UK degree equivalent.

Award:

£10,000 Tuition Fee Award paid directly to the University towards your tuition fees. Students on two-year postgraduate courses will receive the award for their first year only.

Study Criteria:

GREAT scholars must:

  • be a citizen of Vietnam  
  • have an undergraduate degree, be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area
  • meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI
  • establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
  • be willing to attend a networking event of all UK based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
  • be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships
  • as an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about his or her own experience of studying in the UK

Application Requirements:

This scholarship is open to Overseas fee-paying students from (and residing in) Bangladesh, Egypt and Vietnam. You must hold an offer for a full-time master’s course in Humanities, Life Sciences or Social Sciences starting in September 2022 at the University of Westminster.

Students who already have a Master’s degree are not eligible to apply unless otherwise stated in the overseas academic qualifications equivalency guide.

Please note that if your course falls into one or more of the below categories then you are NOT eligible to apply for a scholarship:

  • Postgraduate Diploma
  • Professional courses (eg RIBA pt III, ACCA, CIMA, CiLEX)
  • Conversion courses (eg Graduate Diploma in Law)
  • Integrated Masters/MPhil/PhD student
  • Part-time students
