Scholarship Description
These scholarship awards are designed to reward students who have gotten a place to study with University of East Anglia and who can, plainly and concisely, explain how studying University of East Anglia will aid them to make an exceptional contribution to their desired field of study and to the wider University community.
We are considering applicants who have researched the opportunities available to them as a student at University of East Anglia, who can exhibit a track record of community commitment and who can exhibit how their degree will make a clear difference to the lives and society around them.
Candidates to the scholarship award will be assessed on one of the monthly panels and those successful will get an award of £4,000, £6,000 or £10,000 per year of study.
Those already in receipt of any of their country scholarships can equally to apply for the general scholarship so as to be considered for the £10,000 amount. If successful, this amount will replace the country scholarship award.
We would encourage applicants to submit their scholarship application as soon as it is ready. Applications submitted will be assessed on a rolling basis, this means that the sooner they apply, the sooner they will find out whether they have been successful.

This scholarship is open to students from all over the world.
Requirements
When applying for this scholarship scheme, applicants must already be in possession of an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) for the first year of an undergraduate degree program to commence at University of East Anglia in September 2020. The offer must state that the applicant is an international fee-paying student.
To be categorized as an international fee-paying student, you habitually need to be a non-EU resident. The fees and funding page has more details of those that will pay international tuition fees. If you are still in doubt, then please email the planning office who can further advise you.
Applicant will also need to be independently funding his/her studies, which means that you cannot apply if an organization is sponsoring your study as well as paying your tuition fees. However, if applicant will be in receipt of a government loan, he/she can still apply for this scholarship award.
Kindly note that those holding offers of admission for medicine, occupational therapy or physiotherapy degree programs are not eligible to apply for this scholarship award.
Applicants who are currently studying any Foundation course in the United Kingdom are not eligible to apply for this scholarship award, but they can apply for UEA’s International Foundation Scholarship Programs. Scroll down to check webpage (link below) for more information.
