Requirements
Selection Criteria: The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship award is highly competitive and given based on academic excellence.
Eligibility: Applicants must:
- Have citizenship of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, ASEAN, Mongolia, South Korea, an European country.
- Have fulfilled the University’s academic and English requirements for the degree program to be considered for a scholarship award (must have a full offer of admission for North Ryde on or before the application deadline).
- Have achieved at the least, a Grade Point Average of 5.0 out of 7.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum criteria of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.
- Have put in for a program that is longer than one session in duration.
- Begin study in session and year indicated in the scholarship offer letter. Commencement may not be deferred.
- Have put in for a course/degree program which has a full-time study load.
- Achieve at least a WAM equivalent of 65 for Postgraduate applications; or not less than an ATAR equivalent of 85 for Undergraduate applications.
- Be accepted into a Macquarie University Bachelor or Postgraduate Coursework Degree commencing in 2020 or 2021.
Conditions
- Enroll and commence your course as per your Letter of Offer.
- Maintain your admission throughout your course in a full‐time study load which is 8 standard units in each academic year.
- Fulfil the University’s Academic progression policy.
- This scholarship award is for on-campus study only.
- Applicants who have gotten any other Macquarie University scholarship will not be eligible for this scholarship award.
- You are not eligible if you have put in for or are at the moment enrolled at Macquarie University International College.
- You are not eligible for the scholarship award if you are a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or you hold permanent residency in Australia.
- If you withdraw from your degree program prematurely, you may be required to reimburse any scholarship funds previously awarded to you during your study period at Macquarie University based on the decision reached by the scholarships and grants committee.
