Scholarship Description

The Cecil Renaud Educational and Charitable Trust (henceforth ‘the Trust’) was founded in 1988 by Dr. Cecil Renaud, a well-known Durban Philanthropist. Dr. Renaud who passed away on 3 June 1993, bequeathed the rest of his properties to the Trust. The Overseas Scholarship scheme, awarded every year, is granted for a maximum of two (2) years for post-graduate study program (Master’s degree (or equivalent) or PhD) in the United Kingdom at a university of the student’s choosing. The scholarship has been awarded to 26 of the best and brightest young South Africans over the past two decades.
